Ever since season 5, episode 19 of TV’s The Big Bang Theory called “The Weekend Vortex”, the market for Apps on the iTunes Store that make a whip sound has exploded! I wanted to try my hand at my very first zApp to use the Accelerometer and the built-in sound mechanisms of HTML5.

So no, it isn’t the most unique zApp on the block, but it is still one everyone should have. The concept is simple. Just wave your iPhone or iPad around in the air like a whip to hear that sweet, sweet sound of the whip crack. A perfect way to mock that guy we all know that jumps every time his woman barks…
