Earlier today, Whipped Premium was released. This might not have been a big deal except that Apple rejected my first attempt to release this App, which was surprising. Apple stated that my App encouraged people to do harmful things to their phone…
One could perhaps agree that shaking your phone around wildly like a whip could indeed end poorly, but there are a few dozen whip apps on the iTunes’ store, including my very own free Whipped zApp. So as you can imagine, when I appealed, Apple agreed and approved my App. I wouldn’t really be shocked, nor would I have even written this short blog post, except I was so poorly treated by Google just last week when they banned me from AdSense and AdMob. While I’m willing concede it was my fault, a harsh, no discussion, no second chance approach, coupled with a vague and automated appeal process leaves this customer with a mouth full of distaste.
After that experience, it was a breath of fresh air to be treated as a true customer with an appeal process that involved a real human being. Thank you Apple for hearing me out!
